L'éléphant

เลเลฟอง
FRENCH RESTAURANT

"the jewel in the crown is called L'Elephant Sirmankaljarn Soi 11 and although quite established is filled with only locals. Very talented Thai Chef who trained at cordon Bleu in Bangkok. I love it here it is French and very authentic. But this is one is pricer than the others."

They offer three different 3-course lunch menus: Chef's choice for 530B, Economy set menu for 390B or Thai food (from their sister restaurant, Oon Oon, which is next door) for 360B.

I went for the Chef's choice although they had run out of their menu popular dishes. I had the frog's legs to start, the sea bass for main and the chocolate mousse with cherry for dessert.

Everything about this place is wonderful. It's beautiful, calm, and has amazing staff. The free bread basket (with butter) had possibly the best bread I've ever had in Thailand.
